Japanese martial ship docked in harbor of Jakarta

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Tiga Kapal Bela Diri Jepang -- Hamagiri, Sawayuki dan Asayuki -- bersandar di Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, pada Selasa pagi. 

Kapal tersebut membawa 620 prajurit bela diri. Kapal Hamagiri berawak 220 orang, Sawayuki 200 orang dan Asayuki sebanyak 200 awak. 

"Kami melakukan kunjungan ini untuk melatih calon perwira sebanyak 108 orang dan memperdalam persahabatan Indonesia-Jepang karena Indonesia negara yang penting bagi kami," kata Komandan Kolonel Laut Tomoo Mizukami. 

Tomoo menjelaskan agenda yang akan dilakukan selama di Jakarta adalah melakukan kunjungan kehormatan ke Pangkalan Utama TNI Angkatan Laut (LANTAMAL) dan Markas Komando Armada RI Kawasan Barat (KOARMABAR) di Jakarta pada 29 Februari. 

Selain itu dia juga akan memenuhi permintaan AL Indonesia untuk mengunjungi beberapa fasilitas milik AL di Jakarta. 

"Penanganan terorisme sekaligus penanggulangan bencana alam menjadi fokus kami sehingga kerja sama di bidang tersebut menjadi penting," kata Tomoo. 

Sementara itu Atase Pertahanan Jepang di Indonesia Toshiaki Kondo menegaskan kapal meninggalkan perairan Jepang pada 17 Februari dan tiba di Jakarta pada Selasa. 

"Kemudian pada 2 Maret kami akan tinggalkan Jakarta dan berencana bersandar di pelabuhan di wilayah Vietnam," kata Kondo yang menambahkan rencananya armada Kapal Bela Diri Jepang tiba di sana pada 26 Maret. 

Dia menegaskan pihaknya memiliki rencana melakukan latihan pertahanan laut gabungan dengan Angkatan Laut RI namun belum ada pembicaraan lebih jauh. 

"Kami berencana melakukan latihan angkatan laut gabungan namun belum ada kepastian. Itu baru keinginan kami dan belum ada pembicaraan lebih lanjut mengenai hal itu dengan pihak berwenang RI," kata Kondo. 

Selain itu Kondo menjelaskan dalam kunjungan kehormatan yang dilakukan pada 29 Februari nanti tidak akan ada pembahasan isu politik. 

Wakil Komandan LANTAMAL III Kolonel Laut Djayeng Tirto mengatakan kunjungan kapal bela diri Jepang di Tanjung Priok dapat mempererat hubungan bilateral kedua negara. 

"Hal itu penting untuk dilakukan guna memperkuat pertahanan strategis dimana menjadi kepentingan bersama," jelas Djayeng saat pidato penyambutan. 

Dia berharap kegiatan tersebut menjadi batu pijakan untuk memperkuat hubungan Indonesia dengan Jepang yang telah terjalin lama. 

Kapal Bela Diri Jepang akan membuka kesempatan bagi masyarakat Indonesia melakukan kunjungan pada 29 Februari dalam dua sesi yaitu pukul 13.30 hingga 14.30 dan 14.30 hingga 15.30. 

Bagi warga, pelajar maupun akademisi yang ingin menyaksikan arsenal serta kemampuan kapal "destroyer" milik Jepang dapat mengunjungi Jakarta International Container Terminal II (JICT II), Pelabuhan Tanjung Priuk.
